About

A renowned Canadian author, Eunice Barnes, has captivated readers with her compelling storytelling and thought-provoking narratives. Her literary journey is a reflection of her passion for weaving words into unforgettable tales that resonate with audiences worldwide.
I have lived in Toronto my entire life and have spent the last thirty years engaging in educational community services that require a tremendous amount of research and preparation of presentations, thus honing my skills as a writer. I began writing fiction in 2005, when a short-story contest in the Toronto Star caught my attention. Finally, in 2017, one of my short stories Not Just a Number, was published in an anthology titled Strange Love Affairs, published by Strange Days Books. In 2020, my children’s short story, Amy’s Plan, was one of five unpublished stories chosen as a finalist in an international competition by Eyelands Publishing. My poem, The Old Man’s Garage, appears in an edition volume 24 of Canadian Stories magazine. I have written three novels: This Diamond Ring, Into the Hurricane with a Cheap Umbrella (available on Amazon), and Who We Are Now.
